Do polished porcelain tiles scratch easily?
Premium porcelain tiles are made from finer, denser clay, quartz, and is fired at higher temperatures. A high quality glaze on porcelain tiles make it tougher, more resistant to scratches and stains than low quality porcelain tiles. Therfore, the glaze on these tiles can endure heavy foot traffic at both residential and commercial locations.
Are polished porcelain tiles hard to keep clean?
Polished porcelain tiles are still water and stain-resistant. Therefore you can use polished porcelain tile for shower walls and other areas that get wet. A high quality polished porcelain tile gets polished to about 90% and therefore are very easy to keep clean!
Does polished porcelain tiles need to be sealed?
The surface of polished porcelain tiles does not need to be sealed,. Depending on the application, we may require a light application of a tile and stone penetrating sealer to fill the micro pores on the surface of the tile.
Are polished porcelain tiles slippery?
This is a common question. The polished tiles in the home maybe seem slippery under foot, but in fact they are no more or less slippery than matt tiles. The main thing to look for is the coefficient of friction of the tile that has been given by the manufacturer. All of our tiles have a cofficient of friction rating. The number to look for is equal or above 0.42 for floors.
